"During the 2014-15 season, national and international audiences were introduced to plays and musicals that were developed right here at Powerhouse. From Hamilton and The Fortress of Solitude at NYC’s Public Theater to Bright Star at San Diego’s Old Globe, from Laugh at Washington, DC’s Studio Theater to Kinship at Théâtre de Ville in Paris, work that you helped shape is reaching wide audiences and great acclaim. We hope you share our pride in creating the protected, rigorous, dynamic environment in which the bold and risky work of developing these stories can take place.

"This summer, once again, close to 250 professional artists and 50 apprentices will bring to life more than 25 new theater pieces. Some, like Duncan Sheik, Marcus Gardley and Keith Bunin, are artists with whom we all share a great deal of history. Others will be brand new to you, and we can’t wait to introduce Michael John LaChiusa, Anna Ziegler, Stephen Trask, Colman Domingo and many more to the particular delights of a Powerhouse summer.
