Instruction is offered to both adults and children, covering a wide range of experience. We are happy to customize lessons according to the needs, abilities and goals of the rider. Pleasure riders are always welcomed.
Camp Activities and Curriculum
Your child will be immersed in a child-based hands-on horsemanship program that teaches students age-appropriate aspects of horse-care and riding. Our summer camp program is designed to foster a healthy respect for horses that in turn will create a better understanding of and safer relationship with our mounts.
Children's Lessons
Chicory Meadow farm offers English riding instruction for all levels of experience with an emphasis on basics and the creation of good riding habits. We start with the Balanced Seat, which is an all-purpose seat, from which a rider can adapt to any style of riding. Students will learn to walk, trot, canter & eventually jump with lots of hard work and preparation.
Our lesson program has been designed to build confidence, promote inner strength and create a healthy respect for horses. We do not push our students to do exercises they have not been properly prepared for because it is not fair to the rider or to the horse.
