The Phillies Bridge Farm Project is located at 45 Phillies Bridge Road, New Paltz, NY 12561 in Ulster County. From Phillies Bridge: "Phillies Bridge Farm Project was founded in 1995 by a group of dedicated volunteers. We now feed hundreds of community members and engage over 2,500 people each year in the wonders of food production through our CSA, education, and community outreach programs. Our site includes about five acres of diversified vegetables, a children’s Discovery Garden, and a blazed nature trail that wanders through wetlands, woodlands, and pastures. "Our programs make learning come alive for people of all ages and backgrounds in the Hudson Valley Region. Every year, we feed our CSA shareholders and share the harvest with struggling area residents with fresh vegetables grown on the farm using organic practices. We educate local school children about the wonders of farming and train beginning farmers in the techniques of small-scale sustainable agriculture. We connect people of all ages to the sources of their food through our education programs, community events, and outreach efforts. "Our programs impact a large geographical area, from New York City to Albany, with a focus on Ulster County where the farm is located. Participants include homeless teenagers, second home-owners, local families, single parents, area farm-workers, and everyone in between." “My son came home after his field trip and told me I had to get some cabbage. I couldn’t believe it, he usually doesn’t eat vegetables.”-Parent of Kindergartner
